What we did this weekend

We went "fossicking" behind the mall late Saturday afternoon, and found all sorts of interesting things! Including some rolls of one-side-waxed paper, which we suspect was the back side of some heavy sticky film, some of which we found nearby.

We also came back with a car-load of various size chipboard planks, a few wood crates (later to contain my Christmas presents to the relatives!), metal shelving and assorted wood offcuts.

Yesterday we found something to do with the paper - mega-origami! I folded a huge "fortune chooser" (see top pic), and then we tried out gigantic paper jets. The waxed side of the paper made it hard to keep the folds, but we got a lot of enjoyment out of trying to make the things fly.

One for the memory books!
