Am I the only one around here who:
1. Can design something the printers find acceptable? (brochures, advertising, graduation info booklets....)
2. Can open attachments, especially graphics, and know where to find Imaging?
3. Can work a photocopier? Especially the same task done yesterday, and the day before, and .... ? The one I have showed you how to do at least 20 times?
4. Knows how to fax from a network printer? And which network printers DON'T fax?
5. Can divide up exam-writing students into 8 rows of 17, spacing them sufficiently so they don't copy each other's work, create a single sheet of rows and subjects per exam session (times 8 days of 2 sessions each), number and name each row on seperate sheets and network-print 2 copies of everything?
6. Knows how the internet works? And what Google is? And that you can ACTUALLY ORDER BOOKS online???
7. Understands what that thing is that keeps popping up (ever heard of a pop-up?) on the computer and that it's YOUR fault you installed some dodgy somethingorother that someone sent you?
8. Knows where to find a missing copy machine, or why the paper won't go through (see that little screen that says "paper jam", with instructions to clear it, and then the one that says "no toner"?)?
Needless to say, I've spent most of the day doing everyone else's work. Unfortunately I then get moaned at for not doing mine. Geez - can't win! :)
And here it is, well after 3pm, and I have yet to start anything worthwhile, including thinking of something to blog. Sorry. Will try do better tomorrow.
