Mom's Home

No, not "home" as in "heaven", but "home" as in "where she and dad live"! :)

With her sister (a nurse) and brother (from the USA) in attendance, she's been allowed to go home, to be cared for there in an environment she knows and loves, surrounded by her things, her people.

Dad says her spirits have risen considerably in the past week since her siblings arrived from the far corners of the globe - the church donated enough cash to bring them both over! Although her body is worsening, the spirits are bouying things up to the point where she walks better, talks better and feels better. But the tumours are growing so fast that they're actually swelling up her abdomen. Draining off liquid only helps so much...

With her back home, it's now easier for us to send her messages via email - and with her being rather confused during phone conversations, that's what I've taken to doing. Photos, words, slices of our lives sent through cyberspace.

Will be checking in on MSN later to see how things are, but it's so good to know she can relax where she belongs, and live out her last days at home.
