Cape winter - what a beast it is. Especially when one's bedroom window faces North. The wind rattled the frame - then a steady knocking took over (leading to partly-fearful half-dreams of things wanting in), and then the rain poured down. In torrents! It let up just before my son left for school, but spent a good deal of the night hammering at the window.
So this Monday I'm up, but not quite feeling "at it". I'm working from home, and in between am sorting out the two cars. Olivia got some expert attention on Saturday morning from a man who knows his stuff, and she's starting. But there are some replacements needed for parts in the distributor etc. - hauling those while waterfalls pour down behind the accelorator and through the top of the windscreen is going to be "fun"! :-) The Ford needs towing to the mechanic's place to see what's the issue there (suspected head gasket.. and if that's right I may as well sell the thing for parts). And then there's a good deal of Actual Work to accomplish. Fortunately I tend to power through it when working from home, minus distractions and surrounding noise. I aim to get a whole lot accomplished today.
Yup, Monday. Comes around every 7 days, doesn't it! And one simply needs to get on with it.
