This prayer chain was created specially for you! Here’s how to use it:
There are four sets of three beads, each separated by a spacer bead. The beads are of different shapes and sizes, so that you can pray with open or closed eyes, in the middle of the day or in the darkest night. Pray the phrases given for each bead in each set, pausing at the spacer beads to breathe, simply be and listen. Feel each bead in your hands as you pray and spend as much time with each set as you need to. (This is a variation of the “hands down – give / hands up – receive” prayer)
(spacer bead)

I still don't know if it will reach her in time. Her health is very rapidly going downhill. She's in a wheelchair when she needs to move, and is constantly plagued by an awful full-body itch. But she is blessed with friends who are arranging to sit with her and help her round-the-clock, and with a church community that bears both her and my dad up before God constantly. They've been providing meals and housework help and space to simply talk about what they're going through. For that I'm very thankful!
I have a strange sense of peace over her situation. I know that death is a mere comma in eternity, and that one day she will be remade into a strong, magnificent woman who will never fear sickness or pain ever again (I'll post on what I believe regarding death some other time). That image is what is helping push us through this time.
We don't want her to suffer. We hate seeing her in pain. Right now death will be a release and a relief for her.
Thank you to all who are praying for our family. It means a lot to us!
