Breathless heat
Diamond stars - tiny satellite sparkle drifts overhead
Nightjars in the hedge
Toss and turn
Seek the smallest breeze
Hands above your head / stuffed between mattress and wall / cool cement
Dogs pant and wander
Early-hours smell of rain, relief
