You learn something every day...

OK, how many of you have read Genesis, and in your mind's eye see Eve accepting fruit (an apple, I'd bet your mind's eye is telling you! :) ) from a snake, then going to find her husband and giving him some too?

Well, apparently that's wrong in a whole lot of ways - and one of them I didn't notice until today.

Was browsing Perry Noble's blog thanks to a link to something he said way down the page, and his latest post (as of right now) is "A Challenge to the Men". Skimmed over it until I came to this:
When Eve was in the garden of Eden and being tempted by the serpent we discover something pretty amazing in Genesis 3:6, Adam, her husband was WITH HER the entire time and watched the entire thing happen--and didn't say a word. He was passive--weak--unwilling to step up--and it cost his family dearly!

Double-take! REALLY??? He was there right with her and he didn't do anything?

Sure 'nuff. That's what it says.

So guys - next time you go blaming women for all that's wrong in the world ("if Eve hadn't taken that 'apple', then we'd all be OK"), think again. Us girls might just swing right on around and blame you for not sticking up for right! :)
