Acheived!

It struck me yesterday. I've been saying for years that I want to retire by 40. And guess what .... I am!

Well, retiring from the rat-race anyway, which is what I meant. Retiring from set office hours and commutes, retiring from being an employee.

With three years to spare, almost on the button! :-)

Granted, I'm not retiring with the million-in-the-bank that I'd have liked to, but in this day and age that may actually be a good thing. I won't suddenly lose a fortune when the bank goes belly-up, or have my hard-earned cash whisked away by the taxman randomly. Instead, I'm retiring to live a life of my choosing - and doing things I love to keep the cash-flow coming.

Retiring to freedom.

Awesome.
